EULOGY

(Memory of my Brother still linger in my mind and  I very much hope that His Legacy will continue by the incumbent, the GUP. I THEREFORE, take opportunity one again to present Eulogy in memory of Late Gup Karma.who pass away on 23/09/2018)

Late Gup Karma has dedicated almost half of his life serving the people of his Gewog Samkhar. I have seen in him so much devotion, sincerity, kind heart, straight forward and compassionate but bit shyish. He always tell his subordinate elected colleagues that they were elected to serve people and not to ever neglect the service to the people. 
He can be seen visiting every sick and death in the village even before and after becoming Gup.

He was also very innovative and creative in service delivery to the people as appreciated by  His Excellency the then 
Prime Minister of Bhutan Dasho Tshering Tobgay. Even then, he was not ambitious and don't want to cling on to the 
helm of power more then one term. His thought and ambition was to serve only one term and give chance to next 
capable candidate in the Gewog or possibly groom the next successor.

He firmly believes that the post of a Gup is the elected post where every eligible people in the Gewog can contest 
and no hard feeling of it.

Yes, I know, there were some bad critics and jealousy for some because of  ulterior motive and agenda but that 
didn't deter him to perform his duty to his last breath.

Such a man has very short life and Almighty the God could'nt save him as the time comes. May be Lord Buddha 
wanted him more then he is wanted on earth.

I ON BEHALF OF MY BELOVED BROTHER THANK ALL MY VILLAGE FOLKS, WHO VOTED HIM 
TO BE THE GUP BUT SORRY HE COULD'NT LIVE UPTO YOUR EXPECTATIONS. AS A MARK OF 
SOLIDARITY, I HAVE DECIDED TO BE NEUTRAL THIS BY-ELECTION.

I very much hope that whoever voted to be Gup in this by-election will continue Late Gup Karma's Legacy and work ethics.

I also advice to be aware of bully if any and stand upright and exercise your franchise responsibly. 
Such behaviours of bully is/are parasites to our peace loving society and need to eradicate from the root if any.

I farewell, thou art gone for good never to return, we will remember for long that you made us realise the value of life 
and death. Thou art also made us laugh and smile but now no more. I pray thee to rest in peace.

My Memory of early years

 I was born in the small village in Trashigang, Samkhar, Bikhar to a subsistence farmer. I went to school at the age of 9. I'm the eldest of 11 siblings. In those years, the system of education was two year in pre-primary, 5 years in primary school, two years in Junior high school, two year in secondary and two years in Higher secondary schools. By the time I reach class 1, I was 12 year old as today, our kids will be in class 7. In those days, learning was of rote learning. The teachers were all or almost all from the Indian state of Kerela except language teachers and their method of teachings are mostly dictation of  notes from text books. The students will struggle to cope up writing at the speed of the teachers reading from the text books. As the immature student, we just thought is the simplified version but careful reading from the textbook will find that it is ditto copy from the textbook.
